The Array is operated by Gains Insights LLC (“The Array,” “we,” “us”), a New Jersey limited liability company, and is an AI styling assistant. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We designed the product to process the minimum needed to style you well — your photos and wardrobe are yours.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Your name, email address, and authentication details when you create an account.
- Photos & camera input. Images of your outfits and clothing you capture or upload, including live camera frames during a Live Stylist session.
- Wardrobe data. The clothing items you catalog and any tags, categories, or notes you add.
- Usage data. Interactions with features (fit checks, generated outfits, stylist conversations) used to improve your experience.
- Device & diagnostic data. Device type, OS version, app version, and crash logs.
- Purchase data. Subscription status processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide AI styling feedback, fit scores, and generated outfits.
- Build and maintain your digital wardrobe.
- Power real-time Live Stylist voice and camera sessions.
- Operate, secure, and improve the app.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Send service communications (we’ll get separate consent for marketing).
AI processing of photos
Styling features send your images to AI models for analysis. Live Stylist streams camera frames in real time to generate spoken feedback during a session.
We do not use your personal photos to train third-party foundation models, and we do not sell your images. Where processing is performed by a vendor (for example, a model provider), they act under contract on our behalf and are restricted to providing the service.
Sharing & disclosure
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers — hosting, AI processing, analytics, and crash reporting, under data-protection terms.
- App stores — Apple and Google for purchases and subscription management.
- Legal requirements — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual wardrobe items and photos at any time. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Export a copy of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@array.fashion. You can also delete your account in-app at any time.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and notify you of material breaches as required by law.
Children’s privacy
The Array is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app.
